German donor award
The German Founder Prize is an award that has been awarded by the Federal Association of German Foundations since 1994 . With it, individual contributions to the foundation are honored. This can involve the establishment of new foundations or special services in existing foundations. The prize is an ideal award and is not associated with any financial endowment. It is awarded irregularly and can also be given to several people together.
Determination of the award winners
Proposals for a prize winner can be submitted to the federal association by August 20th each year. The advisory board of the Federal Association of German Foundations decides on the award of the prize on the recommendation of the board. The basis is the suggestions made by the conference of the working group leaders.
Appearance of the trophy
The award consists of a glass stele on a base, on which the name of the recipient and the year of the award are engraved. This is designed by the Dresden artist Wolfgang Korn. Each copy is specially made for the respective award winner.
