The investigation is the recording made on October 19, 1965 by German television in the People's Chamber of the GDR , based on the scenic oratorio in 11 songs by Peter Weiss . The production was developed by a directing collective under the direction of Lothar Bellag under the responsibility of the Academy of the Arts of the GDR .

As early as October 20, 1965, the German TV radio broadcast excerpts from the black and white recording made on October 19, 1965 from the People's Chamber of the GDR . The complete version was first broadcast on November 20, 1966.

criticism

Mimosa Künzel von der Neue Zeit found it particularly remarkable that well-known public figures, politicians, journalists, writers, painters and sculptors, directors and actors came together for a reading. She just missed a musical finale to let the aroused senses come to rest again.
