The flood is punctual is a German television film by the director Thomas Berger , which is based on the short story of the same name by the writer Siegfried Lenz .

On the beach of a North Sea island , the corpse is driven by Alexander Halbach, who owned a holiday home on the island. Police officer Maike Harms is investigating the incident and has to find out whether it is an accident, suicide or murder.
