criticism

“A sophisticated psychological thriller that skilfully hooks narrative hooks and unfolds a suspense scenario in Hitchcock-like fashion, in which protagonists and viewers alike will shake the confidence in other characters and the solidity of their own perception. The film harmoniously combines crime thriller elements, melancholy love stories as well as mystery accusations and is particularly convincing due to the excellent leading actress. "

“With this work, debut director Giuseppe Capotondi followed the traces of Alfred Hitchcock's suspense films. With surprising twists, he tells the story of an infamous intrigue. Capotondi does not reach the class of a hitchcock, but still convinces with gripping moments of tension and good actors. "

“La doppia ora mixes the genre of the mystery thriller modeled on M. Night Shyamalan with the genre of the love melodrama. As far as the mystery aspect is concerned, we don't want to reveal too much at this point, as this type of film naturally thrives on surprising twists. Only this much: These twists are not all that surprising, too many similar things have been seen in comparable films in recent years. But at least the tension is built up solidly and does not level off even when it becomes clear in which direction the story is developing. "
