The Dientzenhofer-Gymnasium Bamberg (internal school for short: DG ) is a science , technology and modern language grammar school in Bamberg . It is named after the master builder family Dientzenhofer , whose representatives worked in the Franconian area during the Baroque period . The DG is the largest seminar school in Upper Franconia .

The Dientzenhofer-Gymnasium was the first school in Upper Franconia and the second school in Germany to be successfully validated in accordance with the EU eco-audit . Since 2003, the Dientzenhofer-Gymnasium has been awarded the title Environmental School in Europe every year .
