Dieter Riemer

Dieter Riemer (born September 29, 1955 in Geesthacht , Herzogtum Lauenburg district ) is a German lawyer, regional historian and specialist and non-fiction author .

Life

Riemer came to Bremerhaven in 1962 , where he graduated from the Wilhelm Raabe School in 1974 . After completing his military service , he studied law and business administration in Kiel from 1975 to 1980 . During his legal traineeship he began to publish legal articles. Helmut Heinrichs allowed him to represent parties to the proceedings before the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Bremen as a trainee lawyer. 1983 Riemer when was Amtsgericht Bremerhaven , Bremen Regional Court and Stade District Court as a lawyer admitted. He became a junior partner in a law firm founded in 1908 by Bernhard Rudolph. In 1993 he was admitted as a notary . As a lawyer, his focus is on commercial law and inheritance law.

Services

In 1989, Riemer developed the idea that there is a uniform place of performance at the place of acceptance for a water or energy supply contract. In 2003 the Federal Court of Justice confirmed it , and in 2006 its place of jurisdiction for the delivery point was incorporated into federal law with Section 22 Basic Gas Supply Ordinance (GasGVV), Section 22 Basic Electricity Supply Ordinance (StromGVV), Section 28 Low Voltage Connection Ordinance (NAV) and Section 28 Low Pressure Connection Ordinance (NDAV).

Riemer also writes glosses critical of the judiciary. In 1995 he complained that the lawyers' obligation to wear a robe before the local courts was based on a decree by Adolf Hitler. His criticism moved Horst Eylmann to work towards a reform of professional law. Since then, according to Section 20 of the Professional Code, lawyers have been free to choose whether or not to wear a robe in civil matters before the local courts.

Legal history

In Kiel, Riemer documented legal history with Hans Hattenhauer . In addition to his profession as a lawyer and notary, he wrote a thesis on Lehe in the Middle Ages for Heinrich Schmidt in Oldenburg , with which he was awarded a Dr. phil. received his doctorate. Since then he has dealt with local and regional history in the Elbe-Weser triangle and the Duchy of Saxony at the time of the Billunger . Other focal points are the Sachsenspiegel and the origin of north German princesses.

Recently he has also published sagas and fairy tales.
