The Zeleni Slovenije ( German : Green Slovenia , ZS for short ) is a green party in Slovenia .

history

The party was founded on June 11, 1989 in the wake of the wave of democratization in the Eastern European countries.

In the first two free parliamentary elections in 1990 and 1992 , the party made it into the state assembly . Since the 1996 election , however, it has not made it over the four percent hurdle and has not been represented in parliament since then. In the last election in 2014 , she got just 0.5 percent.

In its program, the party advocates, among other things:

  • Promotion and expansion of renewable energies
  • Running water should be accessible in the water pipes in all households
  • Overgrown arable land by the state should be given to people who plow these areas and thus increase self-sufficiency
