A total of 90 seats

The 1992 parliamentary elections in Slovenia took place on December 6, 1992. In the election, the members of the State Assembly were redefined. It was the first choice after the proclamation of independence and the end of the war of independence .

1.49 million voters were able to decide on 88 of the 90 seats in the State Assembly. Two seats were reserved for representatives of the Hungarian and Italian minorities.

Election result

The Liberal Democracy of Slovenia emerged as the strongest party under its leader Janez Drnovšek . The Slovenian National Party achieved its best result in this election .
