Dieter Stockfisch

Dieter Stockfisch (* 1940 in Hanover ) is a German naval officer ( captain at sea a. D.) and author.

Life

Stockfisch joined the German Armed Forces as a naval officer candidate after graduating from high school in 1962. He was trained at the Naval School Mürwik in Flensburg - Mürwik and served in various uses a. a. as a communications officer in the 2nd landing squadron , as a commander on a submarine and as a course leader at the naval underwater weapons school.

From 1975 to 1977 he completed the 17th admiralty staff course at the Command Academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. Then he was in command of the frigate " Augsburg " and in command of the 2nd destroyer squadron . In addition, he was a consultant in the management staff of the Navy (FüM) and at the Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg). From 1989 to 1993 he served as Branch Chief "Combat Requirements" at the headquarters of Allied Forces Northern Europe (AFNORTH) in Norway. Most recently he was head of the Fleet Operations Division at Fü M. In 1998 he was retired.

He then worked as a journalist and journalist. From 1999, he became editor for marine, IT and security policy at the specialist magazine Soldat und Technik and strategy & technology (today editor for marine and IT at Europäische Sicherheit & Technik ) and editor in charge of the Defense Technology Report (Report Verlag).

He has also been the editor of the standard work for soldiers, Der Reibert , since 2001 .
