Dirk Weitze kicked in the first season 1991/92 the amateur league in NOFV area for the FC Wismut Aue , but returned after only one year in the 1992 by Georg Schwarz to Alfred Kunze -Sportpark renamed home of FC Sachsen back. In the winter of 1994/95 the former first division player went from Saxony to Thuringia for half a year for 1. SV Gera in the then fourth-class league before he returned to Leipzig - this time to VfB .
