The Bellavista district is located in the Sullana Province in the Piura region in northwestern Peru . The district was established on October 21, 1954. It has an area of 2 km². The 2017 census counted 37,678 residents. In 1993 the population was 31,877, in 2007 36,072. The district is congruent with the 40 m high town of Bellavista , a northeastern suburb of the provincial capital Sullana .
Geographical location
The Bellavista District is located in the southeast of the Sullana Province. It is located a few meters from the left southern bank of the west flowing Río Chira in the agglomeration of Sullana. The Bellavista District is enclosed by the Sullana District .
