The Goyllarisquizga district is located in the Daniel Alcides Carrión province in the Pasco region in central Peru . The district was established on November 27, 1944. It has an area of ​​19.3 km². The 2017 census counted 1617 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 962, in 2007 it was 2505. The district administration is located in the 4170  m high village of Goyllarisquizga with 1388 inhabitants (as of 2017). Goyllarisquizga is about 12 km east of the provincial capital Yanahuanca .

Geographical location

The Goyllarisquizga district is located in the Andean highlands in the central east of the Daniel Alcides Carrión province. It has a longitudinal extension in north-south direction of almost 7 km and a maximum width of about 4.8 km.

The Goyllarisquizga district is bordered to the south, the west and the north by the district Chacayán and the east by the district of Santa Ana de Tusi .
