The Semporna District is an administrative district in the Malaysian state of Sabah . The administrative seat is the city of Semporna . The district is part of the Tawau Division area to which the Kunak , Lahad Datu , Semporna and Tawau districts belong.
Demographics
The population of the Semporna district is 133,164 according to the last census in 2010. The majority of the residents are Bajau , many of whom live in the outskirts of the city of Semporna in stilt houses directly over the water.
