The Sipitang District is an administrative district in the Malaysian state of Sabah . The administrative seat is the city of Sipitang . The district is part of the Interior Division area , which includes the Beaufort , Keningau , Kuala Penyu , Nabawan , Sipitang, Tambunan and Tenom districts . In the south, the district borders the Malaysian state of Sarawak , Brunei Bay and Kalimantan Indonesia .
Demographics
The population of the district of Sipitang according to the last census in 2010 is 34,862 and consists of about 60% Kedayan , 30% Murut and Lundayeh , 10% Brunei Malay and Chinese . The population is distributed across the larger parishes and the entire area of the district as follows: 2010
