Dmitri Ivanovich Burdin

Dmitri Ivanovich Burdin ( Russian Дмитрий Иванович Бурдин ; born August 17 . Jul / 30th August  1914 greg. In Tsaritsyn , † 6. January 1978 in Moscow ) was a Soviet architect and university lecturer .

Life

Dmitri Burdin studied at the Moscow Architecture Institute (MArchI) with Nikolai Wladimirowitsch Markownikow and WN Wladimirowa with a degree in 1937. In 1941 he became an aspirant at the Academy of Architecture of the USSR with Andrei Konstantinowitsch Burow , Georgi Pawlowitsch Golz , Mikhail Pawlowitsch Parusnikow and Alexander Vasiljewitsch Parusnikow and Alexander Vasiljewitsch Parusnikow .

Together with B. Blochin, Burdin dealt with the problem of building large apartment blocks . He was involved in the planning and construction of the right bank Magnitogorsk (1948–1952) and the Degunino-Beskudnikowo district (1964) in Moscow. He was one of the leading architects in the construction of the Ostankino television tower . He developed sample projects for daycare centers, hospitals and residential buildings. He built representations and pavilions of the USSR at international exhibitions in Thailand , Indonesia , Argentina , Brazil , Japan and Switzerland . He also taught at MArchI from 1945 to 1947 and from 1950 to 1957. From 1963 to 1976 he was Moscow's deputy chief architect.

Burdin was one of the most important representatives of "industrial construction", in which Soviet architects reverted to modernity after the reign of Josef Stalin .
