Dominik Crnogorac (born June 2, 1991 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a serbo - Canadian ice hockey player who has played for the Hamilton Steelhawks in the Allan Cup Hockey League since 2017.

Career

Dominik Crnogorac was born to parents of Serbian origin in Mississauga, Canada, where he also began to play ice hockey. In the first part of his career he moved annually between different clubs in his home province of Ontario , before spending two years as a student on the ice for the team of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Canadian University Sport . In 2015 he moved to the homeland of his ancestors and played for the KHK Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian ice hockey league , in which he and his teammate Pavel Popravka were the best preparer of the league in 2016 . He then moved to HK Belgrade , for which he played in the multinational MOL league . He won the playoffs of the Serbian league with the club and thus 2017 Serbian champions . He then returned to Canada, where he played for the Hamilton Steelhawks in the Allan Cup Hockey League.

International

At the 2017 World Cup , Crnogorac played for the Serbian national team in Division II for the first time . He was the best scorer among the defensive players and, together with the Belgian Mitch Morgan and the Australian Lliam Webster, the second best preparer of the tournament behind the Romanian Roberto Gliga , whereupon the native Canadian for was chosen as the best defender of the competition. Also in 2018 he played in Division II.
