Dominik Cristina García-Lorido (born August 16, 1983 in Miami , Florida ) is an American actress . She is best known for her roles as Mercedes Fellove in The Lost City and Vivian Rizzo in Meet the Rizzos . In the latter, she played the main actor's daughter, played by her father Andy García . From 2012 to 2013, it embodied Mercedes Lazaro in the Starz - TV series Magic City .

García-Lorido was born in Miami as the daughter of María Victoria "Marivi" Lorido and the actor Andy García . She is the oldest of four siblings. Her parents are both of Cuban origin; her father was born in Havana and her maternal grandparents are from Spain , from Taramundi in Asturias . She grew up in Los Angeles and started dancing at the age of three . In 2004 she graduated from the University of California (UCLA) with an acting degree .

Career

After minor supporting roles, García-Lorido actually made her acting debut in 2005 in the film The Lost City , in which her father directed and also played a leading role. The production of the film, which is about the involvement of the Mafia in Cuba in the 1950s, dragged on over 15 years. Dustin Hoffman as Meyer Lansky and Bill Murray as The Writer also appeared in other roles . After this film, Dominik García-Lorido decided to work professionally and to work more closely with her father.

Her acting career became more and more interesting; she received more significant roles in more successful film productions. In 2008 she played characters in three films, including the anti-racist western I Am Somebody: No Chance in Hell, the crime film Reflections and La Linea - The Line , in which Ray Liotta and Andy García played the leading roles . In 2009, García-Lorido took on the role of Vivian Rizzo at the side of her father in the comedy film Meet the Rizzos and Emily Mortimer , Julianna Margulies and Alan Arkin .
