Danube Floorball Ingolstadt / Floorball is a syndicate in Floorball of the two sports clubs ESV Ingolstadt and SV Nordheim . The SG is represented by a development association based in Donauwörth . The first men's team currently plays in the 2nd Bundesliga South / East .

history

SG Ingolstadt / Nordheim was founded in 2016. After the 2016/17 season , the first men's team was registered for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. With four points, the team ended up in first place in the table and was thus allowed to advance to the next season. From the next season on, the SG gave itself the current name Danube Floorball . In the season south-east they finished fifth with 20 points. For the next season , the team was able to improve to fifth place with 27 points. The 2019/20 season, however, ended with only 9 points then in 7th place, which would have made participation in the relegation relegation necessary. However, due to the premature termination of gaming operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic , this did not materialize at all, so there were no relegations.

In the cup , the team entered the South Group competition from the 2nd round in the 2018/19 season and prevailed there with 12: 8 at FC Stern Munich . In the 3rd round, however, they had to admit defeat to MFBC Leipzig with 3:10. In the 2019/20 season, the team started this time in the first round. Here you defeated the UHC Chub 06 with 5: 9. In the second round it went on with a 1: 9 victory at TSV Calw Lions . In the third round, however, it was again over after a 4:12 at the Floor Fighters Chemnitz .
