Dorothée Reize (born December 5, 1954 in Basel ) is a Swiss actress , singer and speaker .

Life

Dorothée Reize grew up in Basel. After graduating from high school, she attended the Zurich Acting Academy from 1975 to 1978 and then trained as a singer with various teachers in Basel , Bern and Frankfurt am Main . From 1978 she had engagements at various theaters, so u. a. at the Landesbühne Hanover , the United Municipal Theaters Krefeld-Mönchengladbach , at the Theater Baden-Baden and until 1992 at the Stadttheater St. Gallen . After that she worked as a freelancer on various stages.

In addition, she could be heard from 1983 in various radio plays on Radio DRS and SWF and recorded audio books.

Her television career began in 1994 when Dr. Ruth Waldner in the series Dr. Stefan Frank - The doctor whom women trust . She was also part of the regular cast of the Swiss TV soap Lüthi und Blanc for two years. In the cinema she could be seen for the first time in the film Emergency in Havana alongside Viktor Giacobbo . She starred in the comedy Handyman with Marco Rima .

Today she performs with her chanson program Je ne regrette rien , gives readings and gives speaking lessons.

Dorothée Reize is Silvia Reize's sister and lives in Bolligen .
