Dorpede

Dorpede is a desert in the historic district of Orpethal in the north Hessian city of Diemelstadt . In the 21st century, parts of the district belong to Westheim in the Hochsauerlandkreis .
Geographical location
The place was about 219 meters above sea level , northwest of Orpethal. Since the district is now located both in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and in Hesse, the evidence cannot be clearly assigned.

In 1232 the Hardehausen Monastery acquired an estate from the knight Ulrich in Dorpede until a debt was repaid. In 1390 Count Heinrich VI pledged from Waldeck Castle and the city of Rhoden with goods u. a. to Dorpede to Kurt Spiegel zum Desenberg . In 1504, Count Philipp II von Waldeck gave his entire inherited village of Dorpede to the preceptor of the Antoniter houses Grünberg and Arolsen with court, command and prohibition.
