Dover is a through residential areas embossed Town in the US state of Massachusetts . Dover is located about 25 km southwest of Boston , south of the Charles River .
Dover was voted the “healthiest town in greater Boston” by Boston Magazine in April 2003 , which means that Dover is the city with the highest quality of life in the Boston catchment area. The school system is administered and financed jointly with the neighboring city of Sherborn, Massachusetts . The first settlements in the area of today's Dovers emerged around 1640, and from 1784 they belong to the Dedham district. The area then experienced an economic boom through the construction of mills and in 1836 it became the city of Dover.
