The Prophecy

“The time will come when this young woman will save our lives.

Slipped out of nowhere into our world, with courage, understanding and kindness she will face the dragons, look them in the face and forge a new, strong alliance.

An alliance with the help of which the overpowering enemy can be defeated. A friendship that should last for many thousands of years and enable a peaceful coexistence between humans and dragons.

She is the prophecy who will give her own life without hesitation to save that of humanity. ... "

season 1

Due to a failed scientific experiment, Lea found her way through a wormhole into the medieval world of Chelandra. In this, however, she is held for a prophecy, which is why she should travel to the Crystal Mountains to renew the bond between humans and dragons and thus win the war against the Vargonen. Lea gives in because she hopes to get home like this, because a magician in the mountains is said to have a transponder, a brooch with which one can cross the wormhole. Together with a group of warriors, she begins her journey to Liluell on a ship. On the way they encounter many dangers and unknown beings.

season 2

Lea sets out with her friends to free a city from the dragon Katarak. After they have done this, Lea is stopped by a mysterious man who calls himself "The Wanderer". He stops the time and gives Lea tasks that she has to complete on schedule, otherwise he will do her friends sorry. But she is not allowed to tell them about him.

Characters

People

Lea

Lea is a young woman who enters a parallel world through a wormhole. According to a prophecy that the people of this world believe in, it should resolve the conflict between dragons and humans and renew an alliance between the two peoples. She then travels to the Crystal Mountains with the warriors Telon and Rodge as well as the magician Dogo to fulfill the prophecy. Their real motivation, however, is their desire to return to their world soon. Lea hopes to get help from a magician in the mountains because her transponder, a device for the return journey through the wormhole, is defective. On the trip she falls in love with Telon. Lea is a vegetarian .

Lea has a strong aura for dragons , which means that every dragon can notice her. She can also speak her language and Volante gives her a gift with which she can call every dragon to help, the so-called dragon call.

Dragon call:

"You dragons out there, come and save me!"

Telon

Telon is an honorable warrior and Commander in Chief of the Norland Forces. He has long black hair, a huge stature of about two meters and is described by Lea as good-looking. He also has a talent for whispering into women's ears what they want to hear. He leads the group and falls in love with Lea on the journey.

Rodge

Rodge is a very good warrior and Telon's adjutant. He usually talks unfriendly to other people and gets along rather badly with them, although he is at least worried about his companions. He's also often pessimistic .

Dogo

Dogo is a clumsy magician. He was only used as a stable boy by many magical schools and was not taught. Dogo finds Lea when she falls out of the wormhole and brings her to his mentor Malrik. He then sets sail with the others. His spells usually fail, but he is good at location spells and often also at protection spells. Dogo wishes to become Norland's greatest magician and is often called that. Through him Lea learns that according to the prophecy she will die.

Malrik

Malrik is one of Norland's most powerful magicians. He is Dogo's master and gives advice to the king. Malrik ordered that the last line of the prophecy should be kept secret from Leah. Malrik knows how to manipulate other people. He already lived at the time of the first dragon princess (over 1000 years ago). The first dragon princess was his sister, whom he manipulated according to his will. He was responsible for getting Leah to Chelandra. Malrik dies trying to get Lea on his side.

Sandrina

Sandrina, also known as "the huntress", murders for a fee. She is considered the best in her field and is assigned to Lea. After a long search, she found the group and smuggled in under her maiden name Rebecca.

Rebecca grew up in Sordia, which is in the east of the Melidian Steppe. She was despised in her village, called a witch. She got engaged to a mercenary who showed her life and taught her to fight. But on the day of their engagement, he was found guilty of crop failures and miscarriages and was killed. Then Rebecca's nature changed. She killed all the peasants and from then on called herself Sandrina.

Berell

Berell is the leader of a small, ineffective gang of thieves. Hoping for treasure, he follows Telon and tries to steal the gold in Murog's cave. Part is left to him.

Sara

Sara was held by Vargonen for years, but was able to escape and now lives from theft. She tries to steal from Rodge and is caught. Shortly afterwards another theft is revealed by her. Rodge helps her escape, whereupon she joins the group. Rodge falls in love with her and Sara tries to fend off him at first, but eventually develops feelings for him too. She dies in Liluell after being infected with poison by Sandrina.

Taria

Taria is the daughter of a farrier. She is chosen to be ordained. Leah then saves her life.

Dragons

The dragons have a wingspan of around 20 meters and are represented as intelligent with their own personalities. They are kind to people, but they consider them to be beasts that fearlessly kill everyone. Black dragons generally have an aversion to humans. Dragons can read people's minds and speak their own language.

Faedrak

Faedrak is the first dragon Lea meets. He finds Lea in the Melidian Steppe, but, blinded by the stories she is told, she tries to scare him away. Shortly afterwards he saves her life and is chosen by Volante to be Lea's protector.

Volante

Volante is the elder of the Dragon Council. She gives Lea the chance to prove to the council that people deserve to be saved from annihilation. Volante can bring Lea back into her world. She gives Lea the gift of asking dragons for help at any time. No dragon can ignore this call.

Shally

Shally is the leader of a group of black dragons. His cronies destroyed the ships of the warriors who accompanied Lea. At the encounter in the Crystal Mountains he wanted to kill Lea.

Other beings

Vargons

Vargons are green, scaly, ugly beasts with lizard-like skulls. It is said that the earth spat them out because they were too evil and cunning even for the underworld.

The captains are taller, more terrifying, and stronger than their smaller relatives. They also have a lot more information.

Goor

Goor is the head of the Vargonen Army and planned the war. He is a very large vargone who can rule another body and also create terrible visions in the minds of his enemies.

Mermaids

Mermaids have a fin instead of legs. As soon as they come out of the water and dry, the fin turns into legs. If the legs get wet, a fin will form again.

Lavinia

Lavinia is an attractive mermaid who has fled on the ship from sea horrors. She doesn't feel comfortable in human form and keeps tearing her clothes, probably also to turn the men's heads. She is particularly interested in Telon.

Sea horror

Sea terrors have large, red, sparkling eyes and a strange laugh that reminds of a child's giggle. Your skin is invulnerable, even sword blows cannot do anything against it. However, they only attack when it is foggy. Your voice is very dark. Sea terrors eat mermaids and live in a small colony with a king underwater. They store their lives in small vessels that their king owns. If these burst, the sea horror dies.

Takk

Taak belongs to the Grasbeuteler family. He speaks human language and is about the size of a rabbit.

Trivia

  • A well-known spokeswoman was originally planned for the role of Lea, but Peter Lerf was enthusiastic about Bettina Zech's voice.
  • The premiere of the 1st episode took place in the form of an internet radio broadcast. As a result, director Martin Sabel was in the chat.
  • The covers of the first season were created by Anne Stokes and those of the second season are created by Ulrike Kleinert.
  • On the narrow side of each CD sleeve from the first season there are small excerpts from a pattern, all CD sleeves next to each other result in the two dragons of the Dragonbound logo.
  • A map of Chelandra was included in episode six. All of the villages and Lea's experiences are shown in it.
  • The radio play label Europe was not interested in a second season, so Gigaphon has been selling the radio play series itself since the second season. In addition, Peter Lerf expanded his production company into an audio play label.
  • Due to the postal strike and the resulting delayed delivery, episode 13 was made available as a free MP3 version for subscription customers
