The parish church of Dommelstadl

The parish church of the Holy Trinity is the parish church of Dommelstadl , a district of Neuburg am Inn in the Diocese of Passau .

The church was built from 1734 to 1751 on the site of a chapel. Master builder Severin Goldberger delivered a defective vault construction, whereupon Philipp Jakob Köglsperger d. J. replaced. He has the largest share of the structure, but in the end he had to make way for master builder Johann Michael Schneitmann from Passau. The building owner of the church was Cardinal Joseph Dominikus von Lamberg , the owner of the County of Neuburg at the time .

The portico of the facade is crowned by a turret with an onion dome. Even the exterior with the rather rounded nave indicates the theological concern of the building. Similar to the Trinity Church in Kappl , the aim was to visualize the Trinity in church construction. So we created an epiphany with three apses .

The stucco work is by Johann Baptist d'Aglio . The trinity sheet of the high altar from 1751 was painted by Paul Troger in 1752 , the other sculptures by Johann Georg Unruhe . The altars themselves were made to designs by Johann Peter Mayer . The Salzburg stonemason Johann Adam Stumpfegger created the high altar from red and gray marble. A hidden oratory for the prince-bishop is integrated into the structure of the high altar at the back , from where the mass can be followed through an oval window. The pulpit from 1798 is the work of Christian Jorhan (the younger) .

The parish of Dommelstadl was established in 1812.
