Three Upper Sorbian , is a district of the Saxon community Lohsa in the district of Bautzen . It is part of the official Sorbian settlement area in Upper Lusatia .

Dreiweibern is east of Hoyerswerda and north of Lohsa. The Dreiweiberner See lies in the south of the village . It is the cause of the three-female area, which is very large in relation to the number of inhabitants (39 inhabitants) with 48.08 km². Thus the population density of the village is less than 1 inhabitant per square kilometer .
history
Dreiweibern was mentioned in a document in 1509 as Dreyweibern . In the following time the place name changed from Drey Weibern in 1525 to Drey Weiber in 1768 to today's place name in 1831. In 1777 Dreiweibern was under the rule of the Landvogtei Bautzen and the manors Ratzen and Weißkollm .
In 1884 the scientist Arnošt Muka counted 105 inhabitants for his statistics in three women. Without exception, these were Sorbs .
The village has no mayor; Administratively it is classified in the Weißkollm area.

Dreiweibern wins most of the visitors through the lake of the same name, who have swimming and leisure opportunities here. A bar on the adventure beach, which is part of Weißkollm, was also opened on Lake Dreiweiberner.
