Yadong ( Tibetan : གྲོ་ མོ་ རྫོང་ , transcription after Wylie : gro mo rdzong, also: Dromo Dzong , Chomo ) is a district of the city of Xigazê in the extreme south of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 4,306 km² and at the end of 2007 had 12,189 inhabitants.
Administrative structure
At the community level, the district consists of two large communities and five communities . These are (official spelling / Chinese):
- Greater community Xarsingma (下司马镇), seat of the district government;
- Pagri municipality (帕里 镇);
- Community Gerru (吉汝乡);
- Community Kambu (康布乡);
- Municipality of Rübengang (上 亚东 乡);
- Municipality of Tüna (堆 纳 乡);
- Community Xia Yadong (下亚东乡).
