The Dubai Darts Masters was a tournament in darts and was organized for the first time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from May 23rd to 24th, 2013 . It was the first event of the 2013 World Series of Darts . The venue for the first time was the Dubai Tennis Stadium in Dubai .
The first winner in tournament history was Michael van Gerwen .
format
A total of 8 players took part in the tournament. The 8 best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit were qualified , of which the first four were seeded.
The tournament was played in a knockout system . The first round took place on May 23rd. Game mode was a best of 19 legs . The semi-finals and finals, which took place on the evening of May 24th, were played in the best of 21 legs mode.
Prize money
The tournament totaled $ 245,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
