World Series of Darts 2013

The World Series of Darts is a series of invitation tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), which was held for the first time in 2013. In the first year it consisted of two events, which were held in Dubai and Sydney .

format

Eight or 16 players took part in the tournament series. The field of participants consisted of the eight best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit and up to eight local qualifiers.

The tournaments were played in a knockout system . Game mode at all tournaments was a best of legs . The distance of the best of legs was different in the tournaments.

Venues

The first World Series of Darts was held in the United Arab Emirates and Australia .

Prize money

The 2013 Dubai Darts Masters totaled $ 245,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:

At the Sydney Darts Masters 2013 , the prize money was limited to $ 73,000.

Since it was an invitation tournament, the prizes won were not taken into account when calculating the PDC Order of Merit.

In the German-speaking countries, the events were not broadcast on TV.

Internationally, all games were broadcast by the PDC on livepdc.tv.
