World Series of Darts 2016

The World Series of Darts is a series of invitation tournaments organized by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). She took the world's best darts players to Southeast Asia , Australia and New Zealand in 2016 .

format

A minimum of eight and a maximum of 16 players took part in the tournament series. The field of participants consisted of the six best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit , two wildcard players and up to eight local qualifiers.

The tournaments were all played in the knockout system . Game mode at all tournaments was a best of legs . The distance of the best of legs was different in the tournaments.

Venues

The fourth World Series of Darts was held in the United Arab Emirates , Australia , New Zealand , Japan , China and Scotland .

Prize money

Only the prize money of the Dubai Darts Masters 2016 was publicly announced. That totaled $ 245,000. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:

Ranking list

The results of the individual tournaments form a separate ranking list.

In addition to the eight seeded players, 16 other players qualified via the PDC Order of Merit or additional qualifying tournaments for the World Series of Darts Finals 2016 .

In each tournament, the eight seeded players formed two lottery pots with the current places 1–4 and 5–8 in the ranking list, which should prevent the highest-ranking players from meeting in the first duel.
