The World Series of Darts Finals is a major event in darts , which the PDC held for the second time this year on November 5th and 6th. Last year 's winner Michael van Gerwen was able to successfully defend the title he won last year.

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . The first two rounds took place on November 5th. Game mode was a best of 11 legs . On November 6th, the quarter-finals were played in the best of 19 legs mode , the semi-finals and the final in the best of 21 legs mode.

Prize money

A total of £ 155,000 in prize money was distributed. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:

The field of participants consisted of a total of 24 players.

The eight players, who were designated as participants for all World Series events at the beginning of the year, were seeded and intervened in the action from the 2nd round.

Furthermore, the four next best players in the PDC Order of Merit after the World Grand Prix took part. In addition, eight players received a wildcard from the PDC . The remaining four participants were determined by a qualification event on October 23rd.

These 16 players played out the opponents of the top eight in the second round in the first round.

The broadcasters Sport1 and Sport1 + broadcast the event in German-speaking countries . The stations can also be received in Austria via cable and satellite.
