The Dubai Darts Masters is a tournament in darts and was held for the fifth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from May 24th to 25th, 2017 . It was the first event of the 2017 World Series of Darts . The venue is the Dubai Tennis Stadium in Dubai for the fifth time .

Defending champion Gary Anderson was able to repeat his previous year's victory with an 11: 7 in the final over Michael van Gerwen .

format

A total of eight players took part in the tournament. The field of participants consisted of the six best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit and two wildcard players. The position in the Order of Merit was the basis for the seeding list.

The tournament was played in a knockout system . In the first round the game mode was a best of 19 legs . The semi-finals and the final were played in a best of 21 legs mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 50,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
