Dwaine P. board (* 29. November 1956 in Union Hall , Virginia ) is an American American football trainer and former poker players. Between 1979 and 1988 he played on the position of the defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Most recently he was assistant coach for the defensive line at the Seattle Seahawks .

Player career

Pittsburgh Steelers

Board was selected in the 1979 NFL Draft as the 137th player in the fifth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers , but already fired in the preseason .

San Francisco 49ers

After Board was signed by the San Francisco 49ers in 1979 , he quickly became a regular. In his third season he won Super Bowl XVI with the 49ers , but injured his knee the following season, which is why he was out of season. After his recovery, Board returned to the field in the 1983 season, setting his personal best with 13.0 sacks . In 1984 he won his second Super Bowl with the 49ers . On September 22, 1988, the 49ers board placed on the Injured Reserve List .

New Orleans Saints

After his recovery, the New Orleans Saints Board signed up. There he played the rest of the season and then ended his career.

Coaching career

Two years after the end of his playing career, Board was hired by the 49ers as an assistant coach for the defensive line . After Ray Rhodes became Defensive Coordinator of the 49ers in 1994 , he promoted Board to coach of the defensive line. In the same season, the 49ers won another Super Bowl. In 2003 he moved to the Seattle Seahawks and in 2009 to the Oakland Raiders , where he worked as a defensive line trainer. On January 31, 2011, the Cleveland Browns board enlisted as coach of the defensive line. After training for two seasons at St. Francis High in Mountain View, California, the Seahawks signed him on March 25, 2015 as an assistant coach for the defensive line. His employment ended after the 2017 season .
