Eddie Hearn
Eddie Hearn (* 8. June 1979 in Essex , England , as Edward Hearn ) is a British boxing promoter and manager. Among other things, he was also active in golf management. He has been in the sports business since he was 21.
Hearn is CEO of his father Barry Hearn founded Sportpromotion Matchroom Sport and the Darts World Association of Professional Darts Corporation .
Boxing business
Among others, Carl Froch , Lee Selby and James DeGale were promoted by Hearn. Current boxers he has signed include Kell Brook , Anthony Crolla , Kevin Mitchell , Luke Campbell , Callum Smith , Stephen Smith , Khalid Saeed Yafai , Nathan Cleverly , Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Ussyk .
Billion deal with DAZN
In May 2018, DAZN secured the transmission rights for the fights of Anthony Joshua and Co. for the next 8 years and transferred one billion dollars, the equivalent of around 840 million euros, to Hearn.
