Edgar von Heeringen
Edgar von Heeringen (born March 5, 1941 in Berlin ; † December 16, 2019 in Wiesbaden ) was a German director .
Life
Edgar von Heeringen was born on March 5, 1941 in Berlin.
His career began in 1959 as a volunteer at Saar Film Produktion. The following year, he visited the German Institute for Film and Television in Munich (1966 University of Television and Film Munich ) and worked in parallel as a manager , assistant director and camera assistant . 1960 turned the American director Byron Haskin , including in Munich, War Armored Command ( tanks forward ). The von Heeringens (formerly also Heringen) are a Thuringian nobility with the parent company of the same name near Sangerhausen. The first was Reinardus de Heringen, whose name was mentioned in the documents of the Walkenried (Grotefend) monastery in 1172. The von Heeringen family has been spelled out since the middle of the eighteenth century. An Alsatian and Hessian family of the same name from Heeringen died out in the sixteenth century.
