Eduard Ellenberger

Eduard Heinrich Georg Gustav Julius Ellenberger (born January 24, 1837 in Büdingen ; † August 3, 1917 in Darmstadt ) was a German pastor and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Eduard Ellenberger was the son of the tax commissioner Christian Friedrich Heinrich Ellenberger (1796-1847) and his wife Wilhelmine, née Scriba (1804-1869). Ellenberger, who was Protestant, married Mathilde, née Trapp, on October 13, 1864.

Ellenberger was pastor in Hain-Gründau from 1864 to 1876 and later a church councilor, pastor and dean in Ortenberg .

From 1872 to 1887 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 13 / Büdigen .
