Johannes Martin Keller

Johannes Martin Keller (born August 2, 1766 in Oberneisen , † February 24, 1829 in Büdingen ) was a Hessian pastor, teacher and conservative politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johannes Martin Keller was the son of pastor Johannes Keller (1724–1774) and his wife Christina Philippina Eleonora, née Ghent (also: Grüter) (1735–1829). Keller, who was of Protestant faith, married Margaretha Eleonora, born Richter (1768–1839) in Düdelsheim on May 25, 1797 .

In 1786 Keller became court master at Büdingen Castle , in 1796 pastor in Düdelsheim and in 1799 inspector and senior pastor in Büdingen, where he was also director of the grammar school there. In 1819 he became a councilor in Büdingen.

From 1820 to 1827 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 14 / Büdigen .
