Karl Bindewald
Karl Bindewald (born June 8, 1816 in Lauterbach ; † December 21, 1872 in Gießen ) was a Hessian lawyer and politician and a former member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
family
Karl Bindewald was the son of the town counsel and court attorney Karl Gottlieb Bindewald (1785-1828) and his wife Caroline née Dieffenbach (* 1784; † on the Bindewald Farm Michigan (USA)). Karl Bindewald, who was a Protestant, married Karoline nee Fink in 1848, the daughter of the building inspector Georg Caspar Fink and his wife Jeanette Friederike nee Bindewald. The uncles Christian Dieffenbach (1791–1853) and Friedrich Ellenberger (1797–1871) were also MPs.
education and profession
Karl Bindewald studied law at the University of Giessen from 1834 . In 1847 he became a regional judge in Lauterbach and in 1853 in Büdingen . In 1860 he became assessor at the Giessen court and in 1861 court judge. In 1863 he was promoted to Dr. jur. appointed hc.
politics
In the 19th and 20th electoral periods (1866–1872) Karl Bindewald was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the state estates he represented the constituency of Upper Hesse 9 / Büdingen .
