Eduard Keetmann

Karl Heinrich Eduard Keetmann (born July 17, 1840 in Puderbach , † 1910 in Osnabrück ) was a German theologian , pastor , senior director of studies and school councilor .

Life

Keetmann was born in Puderbach in the Koblenz administrative district and attended grammar schools in Duisburg and Koblenz until 1861 . Keetmann then studied theology in Bonn and Berlin until 1865 and passed both theological exams. He was initially a preacher and head of a higher elementary school and in 1871 became a senior teacher at the Jungmann School in Eckernförde . From 1873 to 1876 he was employed as a parish vicar in Rengsdorf near Neuwied . On February 1, 1876, he took over the management of the Royal Prussian Seminary, today the Ludwig-Meyn-Gymnasium in Uetersen , where he stayed until March 31, 1891. He was then transferred to Königsberg (now Chojna ) in Neumark in the same capacity . This was followed by another transfer of Keetmann to Rheydt , where he was appointed school councilor. In 1908 he retired, which he spent in Osnabrück.
