Edd Stavjanik

Edd Stavjanik (born October 12, 1927 in Vienna ; † October 28, 2008 there ; born Eduard Stavjanik ) was an Austrian actor .

After completing his acting training in Vienna, Stavjanik made his debut at the Vorarlberger Landestheater in Bregenz . He then played at the Salzburg State Theater until 1956 . From 1957 he worked for many years at the Vienna Volkstheater before moving to the Burgtheater .

From 1955 Stavjanik took on minor film jobs and was later seen frequently in television productions. In the series Die liebe Familie he had a permanent role in the character of Edi Janeck. He last worked in the film adaptation of Robert Schindel's novel Gebürtig in 2002 , where he played a former concentration camp guard.

Stavjanik is buried in the Baumgartner Friedhof (group 14, number 99) in Vienna. He had two daughters. His daughter Franziska Stavjanik is also an actress.
