The Eichenberger Bach , also called Eichbach , is a five-kilometer-long, northern and right tributary of the Sailaufbach in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart . In some maps, the Eichenberger Bach is incorrectly referred to as the upper reaches of the Sailaufbach.

The Eichenberger Bach rises at an altitude of 362  m above sea level. NHN in the Sailauf forest above Eichenberg in Waldgartenborn on Gartenberg (489 m). It flows through the village in a south-westerly direction, where it used to run a mill. A little below the Eichenberger Bach fed the overshot waterwheel of the already decommissioned Eichenberger mill . It then bends to the southeast and runs, accompanied by the district road AB 12, to Sailauf . There the Eichenberger Bach flows out at 173  m above sea level. NHN in the Sailaufbach .

Mills

The Eichenberger Bach used to operate three mills. Only from the Eichenberger mill, which is also known as the desert mill, still has the overshot water wheel . This flour mill was built in 1760 and closed in 1960:
