history
The Eichlaide settlement, located between a forest area in the west and the floodplain of the Zwickauer Mulde in the east, was named "Nieder Aue, on the Moldau between the Holtze the Eichleite u. the vineyards ”mentioned. Eichlaide was always parish in Waldenburg. Regarding the manorial rule , Eichlaide belonged as an official village to the Schönburg rule of Waldenburg until the 19th century . Once in the field of Rezessherrschaften Schoenburg an administrative reform was carried out in 1878, Eichlaide came in 1880 to the newly established Saxon Amtshauptmannschaft Glauchau . At that time the place had already been incorporated into Altwaldenburg . With the incorporation of Altwaldenburg into Waldenburg, Eichlaide also came to the city of Waldenburg on April 1, 1934.
As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Eichlaide came to the Glauchau district in the Chemnitz district as part of the town of Waldenburg in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Glauchau from 1990 and in 1994 in the Chemnitzer Land district or 2008 in the district of Zwickau.
