Ekaterina Sadownikova

Yekaterina Sadownikowa ( Russian Екатерина Садовникова ; born August 27, 1980 ) is a Russian soprano .

life and work

Sadownikowa studied in Armavir , at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and in Dresden . She won u. a. the International Jelena Obrazchova Competition and made her debut at the Mikhailovsky Theater as Adina in L'elisir d'amore , a role she also sang at the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg and the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow . As Violetta , she appeared at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice , at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples . This was followed by the Gilda in Liège, Venice, Toronto and in the Caracalla Baths in Rome. In Venice she also sang Musetta and Lucia di Lammermoor , at Scala she could be seen and heard as Zerlina . In 2011 she took part in the Young Singers Project of the Salzburg Festival , played Pamina at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and made her debut as Susanna at the Teatro Bellini in Catania . In 2012 she took part in Damiano Michieletto's production of Trittico at the Theater an der Wien , as Amante in Il tabarro , Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica and as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi .
