Elisabeth Ebeling (born October 15, 1946 in Isernhagen ; † July 16, 2020 in Aachen ) was a German actress .

Career

Elisabeth Ebeling, born in Isernhagen in 1946, got her first engagement after studying acting at the Hanover University of Music and Drama at the Bremen Theater.

Until she switched from the Lucerne Theater to the Theater Aachen as a guest in the 2005/2006 season, she was active on a wide variety of theaters in Germany: Schauspielhaus Bochum , Theaters of the City of Cologne, Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt , Berliner Ensemble , Ernst-Deutsch-Theater Hamburg .

She worked with well-known directors, including Daniel Karasek , David Mouchtar Samorai and Rainer Werner Fassbinder . Elisabeth Ebeling received the Kurt Sieder Prize in 2013 for the variety of her stage characters that she has presented at the Aachen Theater since the 2005/2006 season . In 2019 Ebeling celebrated its 50th stage anniversary.

Occasionally, in addition to her theater work, she also worked for film and television.
