Elisabeth Hackstein

Elisabeth Hackstein (born October 4, 1949 in Emsdetten in Westphalia) is a German biologist and politician ( Greens ). She was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Family, education and work

Hackstein completed her school education from 1955 to 1971 in Emsdetten and was a volunteer at the zoo in Münster in 1967/67 . From 1971 to 1973 she studied Catholic theology at the University of Freiburg and from 1971 to 1978 biology in Freiburg im Breisgau . At the same time, she worked as a nursing assistant at the University Children's Hospital in Freiburg from 1972 to 1978. From 1976 to 1978 she was a research assistant at the Zoological Institute at the University of Freiburg. 1988 doctorate it to the University of Bremen Dr. rer. nat. with a limnological / ecotoxicological topic.

From February 1996 to February 2004 she was head of department for the city of Brühl with a focus on u. a. Environmental protection and the local agenda .

In 1991 she became a member of the Evangelical Church. In 2003 she joined the Protestant women's convent of the Stift zum Heiligengrabe monastery , where she has lived since 2004. From 2004 to 2007 she studied Protestant theology and non-Christian religions at the University of Berlin.

In 2005/06 she trained as a lecturer for the Evangelical Church in Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia and in 2007/08 she trained as an evangelical preacher . Afterwards she acted as a representative for the free proclamation and administration of the sacraments for the district of Heiligengrabe.

She did her doctorate again in 2008, now a Dr. phil., at the seminar for Catholic theology of the Free University of Berlin on the topic of Christian Seder celebrations .

She lives in Freiburg, Bremen , Brühl and in Heiligengrabe / Brandenburg, among others .

politics

Hackstein was a member of the Greens from 1992 to 2004. She was a member of Bremen's citizenship for nine years from 1987 to 1996. In 1995/1996 she acted as group spokeswoman for the Greens. She was active in the state parliament for the tasks of construction, urban development, the environment and ports.
