The 2015/16 season was the twelfth season of the Elite Women's Hockey League , a women's ice hockey league . In the twelfth year of its existence, seven teams from Austria , Italy , Hungary , Slovakia and Kazakhstan took part between September 2015 and February 2016 . With the teams from Bolzano and Budapest , two founding members of the EWHL were again there. The Kazakh club Aisulu Almaty was represented for the first time this season . Aisulu Almaty played its home games in the venues of the other clubs participating in the league.

mode

The seven participants play a double round. For a victory a team with a win by getting three points, sudden victory overtime mentioned extension or after the shootout two points. The losing team received no points after regular time, but one point if they lost after extra time or penalty shootout.

The four best-placed teams qualify for the final tournament, with the first and second playing off the champions and the third and fourth taking third place in the first and second leg.
