Elbow society

The catchphrase elbow society or elbow society emerged at the end of the 20th century and was elected word of the year in Germany in 1982 . The word is derived from the phrase elbows use in terms of use of the elbow , such as when queue jumping in brawls or in sports competitions on obstruction of competitors.

The elbow society is a social order that is understood to be to be rejected and is based on egoism , competition , ruthlessness and selfishness and in which social modes of thinking and behavioral norms are underdeveloped.
