Elmer Fudd / filmography
This is a list of the various Elmer Fudd - cartoons .
A forerunner of Elmer Fudd by the name of Egghead was seen in twelve short films until 1939 , including his debut in Tex Avery's short film Cowboy Jippi-Jee, which was released in 1937 . As early as 1938, he was given the name Elmer Fudd in the short film Bergfehde . In 1940 Chuck Jones designed the character for his short film Caution Camera! um, whereby the famous Elmer Fudd got his first appearance. This was seen in the golden age of American animated films in a total of 62 short films in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series, in which he only had a brief appearance in four of them. In another four of them and in the propaganda film Any Bonds Today? from 1942, he could be seen as an overweight version of himself. Worth mentioning is Tex Avery's short film The Rabbit Trap , which received an Oscar nomination in 1941 .
After the golden age of American animated films, Elmer Fudd appeared in two short films in two television specials. Once in 1979 in Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol ( Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales ), in which he had a cameo appearance, and again in 1980 in Portrait of the Artist as a Young Bunny ( Bugs Bunny's Bustin 'Out All Over ). Another four short films followed, including a 3D animation film .
Elmer Fudd appeared in numerous television specials from 1972 to 1992, most of which consisted of old short films. In addition to Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales and Bugs Bunny's Bustin 'Out All Over , only Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goolies (1972) and Bugs Bunny at King Arthur's Court (1978) were completely new productions. From 1979 to 1988 he was seen in five compilation films. From the 1990s, he appeared in a number of direct-to-videos . In the early 2000s, several webtoons were posted with him on the Looney Tunes website. He was also in the three animated films, Wrong Game with Roger Rabbit (1988), where he had a short appearance, Space Jam (1996) and Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003). In the latter, its predecessor Egghead also made a brief appearance.
