The Embraer EMB-545 (marketed as Legacy 450 or Praetor 500 ) is a business jet from the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer .
history
The program for this type of aircraft was presented to the public as MSJ (Mid-Size Jet) together with the larger Embraer Legacy 500 at the NBAA 2007; the program start was announced at the EBACE 2008. The first flight took place on December 28, 2013 (aircraft registration: PT-ZIJ). At the beginning of August 2015, the aircraft received type certification from the Brazilian aviation authority ANAC, followed shortly afterwards by the US aviation authority FAA . In October 2015, EASA was approved for Europe. The purchase price of the Legacy 450 should be around 16 million US dollars .
construction
The flight control is completely via fly-by-wire , the avionics are equipped by Rockwell Collins . The interior fittings are supplied by the Austrian aircraft component manufacturer FACC . The wings are manufactured in Évora, Portugal, in collaboration with OGMA - Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal SA , a supplier company owned by EADS and Embraer.
