The Entlebuch office was one of five offices in the Canton of Lucerne in Switzerland . The main town was Schüpfheim . The new Lucerne cantonal constitution of 2007 no longer has any offices; However, they continued to serve as statistical units for the time being. The Entlebuch office was replaced on January 1, 2013 by the Entlebuch constituency .

The Entlebuch office was in the southwest of the canton of Lucerne, south of the Napf . The office was more or less congruent with the headwaters of the rivers Kleine Emme and Ilfis , one of the headwaters of the Emme .

Biosphere reserve

The Entlebuch region since 2000, the first UNESCO - Biosphere Reserve in Switzerland (after Seville Strategy). Eight of the nine municipalities of the Entlebuch office belong to the Unesco Biosphere Entlebuch: Doppleschwand, Entlebuch, Escholzmatt, Flühli, Hasle, Marbach, Romoos and Schüpfheim.
