The Far West developing region ( Nepali सुदुर पश्चिमाञ्चल विकास क्षेत्र Sudur Pashchimānchal Bikās Kshetra ) was one of five developing regions in Nepal .

It had an area of ​​19,539 km² and consisted of the following administrative zones:

At the 2011 census, the region had 2,552,517 inhabitants. The administrative seat was Dipayal Silgadhi .

Through the constitution of September 20, 2015 and the resulting reorganization of Nepal into provinces, the districts in this developing region were assigned to the newly created province of Sudurpashchim (initially Province No. 7).
