Enzo Calzaghe
Enzo Calzaghe (born January 1, 1949 in Sassari , Sardinia , Italy - † September 17, 2018 ) was a British boxing coach of Italian descent and the father of the former unbeaten super middleweight and hall of famers Joe Calzaghe , who won the world titles of the WBC , WBA , IBF and WBO wore. He was also the only coach of Joe Calzaghe, whose only manager was Frank Warren .
Enzo Calzaghe also trained former WBO cruiserweight world champion Enzo Maccarinelli (also a British boxer of Italian descent) and former WBA light welterweight champion Gavin Rees .
Without a doubt, Enzo Calzaghe was considered one of the best coaches in the world. In 2007 he was honored with three prizes: The BBC presented him with the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Coach Award and Ring Magazine and the BWAA each named him World Coach of the Year .
